Mechita by Malabrigo is a beautiful single-spun fingering weight/4ply yarn in an amazing range of hand-dyed colours. These 100 gram skeins contain 384 metres in length. Mechita is the perfect yarn for scarves and lace shawls, and because it is machine washable it can even be used for baby garments. Made in Peru, Mechita is kettle-dyed in small batches so no two skeins are exactly alike – for larger projects you may wish to stripe two rows from each skein.
Description
We liked Mecha so much, we hit it with a shrink ray! Mechita is a fingering-weight version of our beautifully-dyed single-ply superwash yarn. Just as soft and rich as the original, but great for lighter projects!
Great for: Shawls, scarves, garments, accessories, baby and kids items, lace, cables, textured stitches.
Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag. Skeins may vary one from the other even within the same bag. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.
The colors shown on photos are illustrated as reference, as mentioned above, they can differ on more or less of one tone, due to the hand-dyed process.
